1. Who are you?

This serves as personal website for (“Me”, “Myself”, “I”) Stephan Ennen. I am not affiliated with any other individuals, groups, or organizations. The verbiage “we” on this page only serves to cover my bases for the purposes of this privacy policy. All statements made anywhere on this site, including this policy, are of my own opinion. I am not a lawyer. This policy is in place only to provide digital transparency to the best of my ability.

This website was built using WordPress and various third-party software (“plugins”) which enable functionality. Some of these parties may use their plugins to collect information about users who visit my website to an extent that is unknown to me. I would encourage those especially interested in their privacy to investigate all the software listed under the sections 8 and 9.

2. Personal Data Collection

I do not record any personal information unless stated otherwise. The exception to this are third-party plugins that this website uses. For a list of plugins that collect your data, see section “8. Who We Share Your Data With”.

The cases where I do intentionally collect your information are if you use my contact form. See section “4. Contact Form”

3. Your Rights Over Your Data

Digital data security is important to me. Please contact me via email or the contact form if you would like me to delete any personal data you may have sent on accident… However please note I have no control over the data stored on third-party servers, such as any data gathered by plugins.

4. Contact Form

If you submit data into this website’s contact form, you agree to send all information that was entered into the form’s fields (including your name and reply email address) to my private email inbox. I keep this information indefinitely for personal reference. I do not share your name or email with anybody without consent.

The form itself is driven by the plugin WPForms Lite. You can read their Privacy Policy here. I also use Google’s ReCAPTCHA to block spam. ReCAPTCHA may record quite a bit about your device, location, and other usage activity in order to determine if you are a robot. Read Google’s Privacy Policy here.

5. Cookies

This site has little need for cookies, but minimal cookies will be used if:

  • You leave an anonymous comment on any page, or you log in or create an account. These features are not intended for this site’s users.

6. Analytics

This site uses the Site Kit plugin by Google to provide me with information about who visits my website, and how they use it. This information is not personally identifiable. Read Google’s Privacy Policy here.

7. External Embedded Content

Some pages on this site may include embedded content, such as video, images, or scripted widgets. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
